According to the victim, Maraj threatened her brother, who was eight years old, when he walked in on Maraj assaulting her. He told the children that he would take them away from their mother and have them sent away. As a result, the girl told her brother to stay quiet about the abuse.
According to reports, Nicki Minaj was set to testify at her brother’s trial, but she didn’t. Maraj’s attorney accused Jacqueline of forcing her children to lie about the abuse to extort $25 from the rapper.
Prosecutors said DNA evidence supported the allegations. In January 2020, Maraj was found guilty of predatory sexual assault. He is serving a sentence of 25 years to life in prison.
