Who is Marilyn Bradley?

Growing up, Marilyn Bradley attended the New England Conservatory of Music and majored in opera. She then started being a soloist for the Minneapolis Symphony. While playing this role, she appeared in numerous concerts throughout New England.

Still, she appeared in different summer theaters across the country. At one point, she played in the Guys and Dolls film as the female lead at a theater in Ohio. It was during this time that she first met Robert Horton, her future husband.

Robert Horton was on a break from filming Wagon Train and joined the musical theater performance, coincidentally meeting Marilyn Bradley. Marilyn and Horton married on December 31, 1960, but no information on whether they had children has been shared. Marilyn remained married to Horton until his death on March 9, 2016.

Marilyn was married to Robert Horton Jr. Her husband was born on July 29, 1924. He was an American actor and singer. His fame is attributed to his Wagon Train film that aired between 1957 to 1962. In this film, he played Flint McCullough.

Robert Horton is the child of Mead Howard Horton and his wife Chelta McMurrin. Horton was brought up in a Latter-day Saint household but he always mentioned that he felt that he didn’t fit into this household. Growing up, Horton underwent different surgeries for different conditions. For instance, he underwent surgery to treat his enlarged kidney.

During his childhood, Horton attended the California Military Institute located in Perris. While in school, he played football and graduated in 1943. He then enlisted in the Coast Guard but was shortly discharged because of his kidney problem.

Robert Horton has been in three marriages. He was first married to Mary Jobe in 1946 and divorced in 1950. He then married Barbara Ruick in 1953 and divorced in 1956. He then married Marilyn Bradley in 1960 and remained with her until his death.

Horton’s Career

Robert Horton attended the University of Miami and studied dramatics. He later graduated cum laude from a different institution. He started his career in New York attending stage performances while working with the American Theatre Wing. He then signed a contract with MGM Studios and through it, he appeared in different films.

His first acting role was on December 16, 1954, when he appeared in Ford Theatre. Horton has a career ranging for over six decades and through it, he rose to become a decorated American actor and earned income from his career.
